The Islamic Republic of Iran’s fleet, the bearer of peace and friendship to the port of Jakarta

The peace and friendship flotilla of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, consisting of the all-Iranian destroyer IRIS Dena and IRIS Makran, which anchored in the port of Jakarta, the capital of the Republic of Indonesia, in the morning of Saturday, November 5, 2022, left the port of Jakarta to continue its mission after 5 days of stay, meeting with the officials and commanders of the Navy of the Republic of Indonesia. This fleet has been welcomed warmly by the Indonesian Military Commanders and the high-ranking diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia as the fleet anchored in Tanjung Priok.
During its stay, the commanders and crews of the all-Iranian destroyer IRIS Dana and IRIS Makran, accompanied by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia and the unremitting coordination of the military attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia, conducted separate meetings with the commanders and officers of the Indonesian Navy namely Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Military Command (Kaskoarmada), Admiral Yayan Soyan and Commander of the Military Seaborne Command (Pangkolinlamil) Rear Admiral Agus Hariadi. It is noteworthy to mention that this fleet bearing the slogan of peace and friendship for all people around the world, had been anchored in Bombay India prior to dispatch to Indonesia. Meanwhile, two Gala Dinner has been thrown; in the first Gala Dinner, the families of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia and in the second Gala Dinner the Ambassadors of Foreign Missions in Indonesia along with defense attaché of more than 13 countries have attended. During these two events the slogan of friendship and peace have decently been depicted. the press conference and media fleet visit was the last program of the fleet agenda; 30 journalists from 24 Indonesian media held a press conference on the deck of IRIS DENA.
The first accomplishment of the fleet’s presence in the sea was a “help and rescue of a ship in distress exercise” which indicates the beginning of a new season in maritime interactions and training exchanges between the two navies of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Indonesia.
